Partnerships

The Mountain View School District Band Family includes students from across the district, starting with Beginning Band classes at each elementary school. These young musicians learn the fundamentals of reading music, playing their instruments, and performing together as a team.

At Grace Yokley Junior High, students continue their musical journey in one of two ensembles: Junior Band, where they build on foundational skills and explore more complex music, and Senior Band, our advanced ensemble for experienced players ready to take on greater musical challenges.

The Junior and Senior Bands are led by Mrs. Kristin Cooley.
